TLILIC0040 Non-slewing mobile crane (< 3t capacity) This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to operate a non-slewing mobile crane with a Maximum Rated Capacity (MRC) exceeding 3 tonnes safely. This is a two day course then the student is required return to workplace and complete a logbook in a logbook returning on completion to sit for licence assessments.
Introduction:
A non-slewing mobile crane means a mobile crane incorporating a boom or jib that cannot be slewed and includes an articulated mobile crane, a locomotive crane but does not include vehicle tow trucks.
Upon completion of training, learners are to return to the workplace and are required to complete workplace training under the supervision of a person with the equivalent CN high risk work licence. It is the responsibility of the learner to organise suitable workplace, crane access and supervising operator prior to commencing. Workplace training is to be recorded in a logbook. An individual’s hours will vary, pending an individual’s skills-assessment during training and are determined by an accredited high-risk licensing assessor.
